Young gun Mason Lewis caps off a remarkable few weeks after taking out the illustrious 2015 Park Beach Singles title.
On the back of a strong showing at the Australian Open just a few weeks ago, Mason has since taken out the NSW Under 25’s 25-11, defeating the newly crowned 2015 Australian Open Singles winner, Aaron Teys. This earnt himself a spot in to the coveted Silver Nugget Competition held annually at Tweed Bowls Club.
He then followed this significant achievement with the 2015 Zone 10 Singles title in addition to the 2015 Zone 10 Fours title. But what was still to come even had young Mason scratching his head, the prestigious Park Beach Singles title.
Mason battled through the impressive field at the Park Beach Singles to earn himself a spot in the final against another young gun in Corey Wedlock. Corey pressed Mason all the way but fell out of contention in the last few ends.
This was a very special moment in the young career of Mason and what made it even more important was having his uncle and grandfather there to witness this very defining moment.
The Team at Drakes Pride are thrilled and extremely happy for young Mason and really hope that he continues on his merry winning way.
